EMSLIM devices use high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology. These devices emit electromagnetic pulses that penetrate through the skin to target muscles in the treated area. During an EMSLIM session, the electromagnetic pulses cause rapid and intense muscle contractions that are not achievable through voluntary muscle contractions (like exercise). These contractions stress the muscles and force them to adapt and grow stronger over time. EMSLIM treatment can help build and strengthen muscles, particularly in areas like the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and arms. By building muscle, EMSLIM can contribute to improved body contouring and definition. Some studies suggest that EMSLIM treatment may also contribute to fat reduction in targeted areas, although the primary focus is on muscle toning.
